On Wednesday January 28, 2015 REDEA organised the final conference of the project Joint Planning CODE as the last of a number of activities arranged within this cross-border project between Hungary and Croatia. The most significant activity of the project for the wider public was probably the design of the Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism for the Međimurje County, the completion of which was eagerly anticipated. The Marketing Plan was briefly presented at the final conference by Mrs Neda Talisman-Košuta from the Tourism Institute. She emphasised that the document should eventually contribute to a greater recognisability of Međimurje as a tourist destination. The leader of the project, Valentina Hažić from REDEA, presented the basic activities and results of the entire project, while the Hungarian experts and partners presented the design of their planning documents that are part of the project: the Science Networks Support Strategy and The Tourist Destination Management Study.
The conference was organised by the ZMTFÜ. It was held on December 13th 2013 in the Balaton Museum in Keszthely. The leading partner introduced the targets, tasks and the planned project.
On Thursday July 10, 2014, the Regional Development Agency of Međimujre – REDEA, organised the third workshop as part of the process of designing the Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism Development for the Međimurje County. Around 40 entrepreneurs active in tourism from Međimurje were present, along with representatives of tourist boards, institutions, and representatives of associations, local and regional self-government and all those in any way involved in creating the tourist offer of Međimurje and are part of the decision-making processes that are key to the development of tourism on the County level. As a partner the LBCDA is taking part in the „Joint-Planning CODE” international project within the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme. This project is inspired to open up the common tourism development facilities between Medimurje County, Zala County and Lake Balaton Area.
On April 22 and 23, 2014 the members of the project teams from partner organisations REDEA Regional Development Agency Čakovec, the Međimurje Tourist Board, the Regional Development Agency of the Zala County (ZMT) and the Lake Balaton Development Agency (LBDCA) from Siofok visited the Istria County with the aim of being introduced to models of tourism strategy documents and the development of individual selective forms of tourism. The first meeting of the project Joint Planning CODE was held on Thursday, the 17th of October 2013 in the offices of the Regional Development Agency Međimurje. The project was approved for funding in the third invitation to tender of the IPA Cross-Border Programme Hungary-Croatia 2007-2013. Its implementation began on the October 1, 2013. Read More
