On April 22 and 23, 2014 the members of the project teams from partner organisations REDEA Regional Development Agency Čakovec, the Međimurje Tourist Board, the Regional Development Agency of the Zala County (ZMT) and the Lake Balaton Development Agency (LBDCA) from Siofok visited the Istria County with the aim of being introduced to models of tourism strategy documents and the development of individual selective forms of tourism.

The host of the benchmarking workshop was the director of the Istria County Tourist Board, Mr Denis Ivošević, who presented methods of designing, and results of implementing the Master Plan of Tourism Development in the Istria County to the participants of the workshop. Workshops were also held at the tavern ”Stari Podrum” (”Old Cellar”) in Momjan, where the owner of the facility introduced her family business and answered the participants’ questions. In Novigrad the participants were presented with the cyclo tourism development project, and on the Olive Oil Road the hosts demonstrated their experience in connecting agriculture and tourism.
