REDEA initiates the development of the Strategic Marketing plan of Tourism Development for the Međimurje County
The Regional Development Agency of Međimurje – REDEA Ltd. has initiated the development of the Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism Development for the Međimurje County in cooperation with the Tourism Institute. The initial meeting that took place on Thursday February 13, 2014 was an opportunity to arrange a schedule of the upcoming activities as well as their timeframe. The design of the Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism Development will be a participative process, which is why a tour of the premises will be organised in the following ten months (while the document is being created) in addition to two workshops with a larger number of participants and ten focus groups with a smaller number of participants. Therefore, meetings will take place with all key involved parties from the field of tourism in Međimurje County. The Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism Development will define the unique image of the region.
The creation of this document is one of the activities in the project ”Joint Planning and Cooperation for Long-term Development in the Cross-Border Region” (the acronym of the project is Joint Planning CODE) financed by the IPA Programme of Cross-Border Cooperation Hungary-Croatia 2007-2013. The leading partner of the project is the Regional Development Agency of Međimurje. Apart from REDEA, the project involves the Međimurje County Tourist Board, and Hungarian partners, the Regional Development Agency of the Zala County (ZMT) and the Lake Balaton Development Agency (LBDCA) from Siofok.
