The Presentation of the Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism Development for the Međimurje County at the Final Conference of the Project JOINT PLANNING CODE
On Wednesday January 28, 2015 REDEA organised the final conference of the project Joint Planning CODE as the last of a number of activities arranged within this cross-border project between Hungary and Croatia. The most significant activity of the project for the wider public was probably the design of the Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism for the Međimurje County, the completion of which was eagerly anticipated. The Marketing Plan was briefly presented at the final conference by Mrs Neda Talisman-Košuta from the Tourism Institute. She emphasised that the document should eventually contribute to a greater recognisability of Međimurje as a tourist destination. The leader of the project, Valentina Hažić from REDEA, presented the basic activities and results of the entire project, while the Hungarian experts and partners presented the design of their planning documents that are part of the project: the Science Networks Support Strategy and The Tourist Destination Management Study.
All participants of the conference were provided with a printed copy of the summarized version of the Strategic Marketing Plan of Tourism of the Međimurje County and the Joint Planning Document, which is also one of the results of the project implementation, defining further cooperation and project implementation possibilities between the Međimurje and Zala Counties. Moreover, beside the printed document of the Strategic Marketing Plan, there is an electronic document that is 100 pages long that develops the entire subject in great detail. All additional information on the documents can be obtained at the offices of REDEA and the Međimurje County Tourist Board where all interested parties can acquire printed copies.
All documents designed during this project can be downloaded on the official website of the project http://jp-code.ed/documents
